Ella had agreed to host her best friend Jane’s birthday pre-party, but can’t bring herself to leave her apartment in the post-pre state of messy, spilled drink chaos. She hangs back to do a quick tidy-up as the group heads over to the bar…when Jake walks back in. Jane’s ex-boyfriend, Jake. Longtime crush but undeniably off-limits. Standing there, with his clumsy shirt stain and ridiculous smile, Jake admits that Ella's the only reason he came out tonight. Her mind racing between how ridiculously good Jake looks, her friendship with Jane, and the way Jake is looking at her and how stupidly hot it’s making her…Ella can't keep fighting the energy between them.
